  4. 2024 1st round pick (COL)
COL
  1. Miller, J.T. ($2,625,000 retained)
Additional Details:
I think Colorado’s roster is pretty much as good as last year’s except for the loss of kadri. I think they will spend top dollar to replace him with a rental at the deadline, because they know that a team of that calibre can win the cup.

VAN
  1. Lambos, Carson
  2. 2023 1st round pick (MIN)
  3. 2024 2nd round pick (MIN)
MIN
The fit here makes a lot of sense to me. They lost out on Eichel, and Miller at 50% retained is a player they can actually afford (Vancouver might need to take back a small contract to make the money work). This solidifies the Wilds’ centres as one of the top groups in the league.

    1. 2024 3rd round pick (VAN)

Do or die for Leafs management. They will do whatever it takes to win a round.

I'm a Habs fan and even I know Toronto isn't making that deal lol also can't see Colorado moving two 1sts for a rental.

Zero chance Miller signs long term with any of those teams.

Colorado can't afford him with Nate MacKinnon signing for 8 x $13,000,000.

Minnesota is in cap hell so they can't afford him.

Reportedly he wants to play in the States so Toronto is a no go.

So those teams aren't giving up that much for a one year rental.

I think with Minnesota Vancouver likely pushes for Faber. I imagine the Toronto and Colorado trades are probably too much

Genuine question, what reports have said he wants to play in the states?

I think all of these teams will definitely be making pitches for Miller at the deadline, so it'll be very interesting to see what the return eventually is. It will most likely be a team that sees him as a pure rental though, but that's okay; Miller at 50% retained will have a lot of teams interest for a playoff run.

Yeah because COL is going to trade their top 2 prospects, 2 1st round draft picks meaning they won’t pick in the first 3 rounds of 3 consecutive drafts, all for a guy that they can’t re-sign, and who would be the 4th best forward on their team. COL literally laughs till they pass out. Wake up screaming “where are you Ashton!”

Yeah, Minnesota isn't interested, nor paying that price for a rental. At some point Canucks fans need to understand he's not worth that. Guerin doesn't pay 1st and top prospects for rentals

Miller is an average first line forward, not Connor McDavid.
