Anaheim probably accepts, 100% accept if that’s your 2023 2nd

Where exactly is Boston going to play Duclair? Not to mention if they are moving Grz is to clear cap space and Duclair doesn't really do that as he's only about $700k cheaper.

Grzelcyk is out like up to Thanksgiving, If he's traded it wont be until he's healthy and cleared.

top 6 wing i'd think, he'd be about their 3rd or 4th best winger

Marchand
Pastrnak
Hall
DeBrusk

^That's currently Boston's top 4 wingers and I wouldn't take Duclair over any of those guys.

Duclair is potentially out all season lol, B’s also don’t need another winger

Yup Duclair could be back for the playoffs, But he's definitely out most of the season. Torn achilles are usually up to 9 months recovery time.

it's splitting hairs cuz we're talking about a guy out for most/all of the season, but in a vacuum I'd take Duclair over JDB at this point. Cheaper deal, (2x$3M vs. 2x$4M) for better production (31-27-58 in 74 GP last year, averaging 28-30-58/82 GP over his last 3 seasons vs. 25-17-42 last year & 22-20-42/82 GP over his las 3 years for JDB).

DeBrusk spent the first half of last season wasting away in the Bruins bottom 6. When they finally played him with talent he was playing at a 30G/50P pace. He also didn't get the benefit of getting nearly 63% of his zone starts in the offensive zone like Duclair did. DeBrusk 3yr average you have also includes an outlier year where it was well documented that he had mental struggles and his production suffered because of it. Not to mention DeBrusk last year had more blocks, more hits and about half the amount of giveaways that Duclair had. Duclair last season also had a 18.6 S% which was 50% higher than his average over the last 3 seasons.

I wouldn't take Duclair over DeBrusk, but to each their own.

This late in the game, I would say its the 2023 2nd or Florida has to add a bit more to move it to a less valuable 2025 pick. If they want to use the 25 2nd, I would also expect a 23 4th added to the mix.

considering Duclair is hurt and going to miss a ton of time i don't think there's an appetite for any team to take him this year that intend to get into the playoffs. however if you want Mike Reilly for Duclair we can likely use that as a jump off point.
