    I know lots of people from both sides like the garland-severson swap but garland had a career high in points this year with little pp time
    nj has lots of rds and doesn't seem like they are gonna resign severson
    so I would rather keep garland and our bad defense for a year, then shed some cap and go for a big name rd in fa

    As a Devils fan I do that all day, but the Bruins decline. Swayman is vital to their short term, and will fetch an enormous return when the rebuild starts.

    There aren't many RD options that are better than Severson imo. Weegar and maybe Dumba

    Garland played 123 minutes on the PP last season, safe to say he played on the PP

    Very limited options for RHD however.
    I see only three impact guys in that class: Weegar, Dumba and Severson.
    Gonna be some serious competition for these guys next offseason.
    Wouldn't the Canucks be better of trading for Severson in-season in order to get ample time to negotiate an extension before FA?

    Swayman isn't going to be available. He's the present and future of the Bruins crease. Not sure who would be an alternative honestly

    You kidding me with Swayman as a 1b? He’s a starter and is only going to get better. If you’re going to disrespect him at least call him a 1a, though he’s definitely a certified starter now and in future years

    Quick tell me the 1A and the 1B.

    41 games 2.45 .917 26 wins
    41 games 2.41 .914 23 wins

    Looks pretty identical.

    Player 1 had better GSAA, GPS, fewer RBS (really bad starts). Player 2 better QS%.

    Which one 1a which one 1b?


    FTR - Swayman was player 2

    Perception is he is the #1. Fans eyes he is #1. Reality is something different though.

    He will take it over at some point, but until then it’s an equal time share between co #1s.

    Nobody said Linus for Mercer.

    Don’t want Linus..great go with Vanacek and Blackwood. 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Swayman is not getting traded. Boston won’t rebuild either. Ownership won’t allow it. They will retool. And Swayman will be one of the pieces they build around.
