not getting that second round from BUF. Maybe a 3rd.

Think the 2nd is doable. Especially with Zucker on the rise. Not to say Brodin isn't, but to have that fast winger who can score to potentially replace Kaner after this year would be nice.

Definitely interesting...and no single trade is unrealistic.

My two suggestions would be: Find a trade partner to take Pominville and sign or trade for a legit backup goalie. Stalock is below average, journeyman netminder and the Wild NEED a backup who can play 30+ games so Dubnyk has some legs left for the playoffs!

Trying to find a realistic trade for Pominville at this point is too hard. Maybe after July 1st when his NTC is more flexible or after Oct 1st, after we pay his bonus. I agree on Stalock. I wouldn't mind seeing them sign Kinkaid from NJ.

No thanks on Alzner for 6 years. I'd take him 4 or less.

      Bruins follower here.

We would not do that for Scandella. He's on a bad contract, and the B's will have lots of cap tied up with the extension for Pasta and the equally albatross contracts of Beleskey and Krejci. And even if we did have the cap, I do not think Scandella is a very good dman. I'd send a late 2nd back at best.

$4m/yr for a second pairing d-man is a bad contract? Scandella's the guy you want to pair with Krug. Chara/McAvoy, Scandella/Krug is a solid top-4.

Did you see him play in the playoffs??? He was the Wild's best defenseman.

Wow, I hate almost all of this. Yes, we will lose a good player, but this pretty much guts the team. Let's find a way to trade the more experienced guys.

I'd push for a third as a Sabres fan but if it's gotta be a 2nd I'm not against it either.

Hmmm. I'm pretty glued to the idea of having Reinhart lead a third scoring line for years to come so this is tough. But you have me thinking so the value is probably right.

I think Minnesota is doing just fine after all this shuffling without signing Alzner to that contract though.
