Description

Trying again to make it more compelling for Dallas ... Now both NJ and Dallas fans will hate this, which makes me believe we may be getting close to fair.

Taking crap Faksa contract to help Dallas create room for Robertson. Severson shores up RD positional need. Holtz and Mercer add long term value and NHL ready performance on ELC contracts.

For NJ, Hintz is the perfect compliment for Hughes' left wing and immediately changes the team's immediate future for better ... Fingers crossed on Defense, now that Severson is gone. Any injury to top 4 sinks season.

Hintz and Bratt both sign long term extensions at year end eating up remaining cap space created when Graves, Bernier, Tatar, Johnsson, Wood, Haula walk ... Cap gets tough from here & they still need a long term solution in net.

Could be, but regardless the value must be there ... Dallas has absolutely no reason to trade Hintz. He's their 1C smack in his prime years ... it has to hurt both sides equally to make this work.

Holtz may not pan out ... Severson could walk at year end ... Mercer may not clean up defensive lapses ... Hintz is a known

Hintz natural position is Center not LW, So not happening.

At the end of the day asking for Mercer, Holtz and Severson in exchange for Hintz and Faksa isn’t remotely fair to NJ. I’m not even sure why they would trade for Hintz anyway lol.

I disagree. The main piece isn’t good enough. OP taking Faksa and adding additional pieces doesn’t change the fact that Dallas has no reason to trade their top line center. And if I’m being honest, NJ has no reason to explore what it would take to get Nill interested. Especially if they’re gonna put him at LW

Im not sure why New Jersey would even be targetting Hintz. He is a center and the Devils already have Hughes and Hischier
