Teams don't trade players they just signed to long term deals. It is simply not done.

I like Chychrun, I think he's a solid top-4 guy... but I feel like people keep forgetting he's been fairly injury prone. PLUS Mateychuk and Jiricek will probably be on the #CBJ roster within 3 years and both have higher ceilings.

I think Chychrun could be a good add for Columbus because he could be a partner for Werenski this year and could take Gavrikov’s place next year if/when he goes to FA. Jiricek should be top pair/T4 RD next year to take his place. Mateychuk is probably 2 years away still but even if he’s ready next year they just need to move out Bean so he can play 3LD, but I’m guessing he takes an extra year because of the depth the CBJ have now on D.

Chychrun is a very good player, injuries concern me but he's a top 4 D, 24 years old and signed for 3 more years at 4.6. He would fit the trajectory of this team.
