Description
I've seen trade proposals with this basic framework thrown around for several months now, and I'm curious to see how you all value these respective players. Given their respective skillsets, contracts, and team cap situations, I have my own opinion, but I'm hoping to gather people's thoughts on this.

I don’t see why you would want Barrie with Schultz.. I also don’t see Holland trading Barrie this year. It will be an off-season move for futures.

Just for the sake of the trade, how is Soucy on the right side? If he’s decent, I would love to see him over Barrie. We would of course have to add, as you are taking more cap for one more season longer. Im curious, how much more in your opinion, would we have to add?

I don't see Edmonton doing this, TBH. They have plenty of LHD and no extra RHD, so why would they make this trade? Besides, they tried to get Soucy last deadline and wouldn't meet Seattle's price, ended up with Kulak and liked him so much they re-signed him. I don't think there's any interest in Soucy anymore.

Why would Edmonton trade Barrie, when Bouchard is entering a contract year?

Barrie is a good 1pp defender, 7g and 41pts in 73 last season, 48pts in 56 the year before.

It's not broke, and putting Bouchard into the drivers seat on PP1 might take his contract to levels Edmonton's not prepared for.
