If this is all it takes, then Arizona should jump all over that.

I would hold off it I were Dubas though. If the right offer doesn't come around, just start with a 20 man roster and go from there.

Teams with cap space are not going to give us draft assets to take on a 3.5 million cap hit for a player that will not change the outcome of the upcoming year. These teams will wait for another week and teams will be offering them assets to take on cap.

Kerfoot is worth way more than a 4th. That would have been done by now. Nearly half the NHL teams would jump on that. I don't know why this site continues to undervalue KerfEEt so much...

Arizona is not entitled to help the Leafs, Kerfoot is a cap dump with the Leafs situation (even if he shouldn't), right now Leafs are desperate for some cap space

We start out the year with a road trip. I dont want to bring a 20 man into a long road trip. Toronto could levreage the fact he would be good to trade at the deadline to maybe get a 3rd but I dont see them wanting to trade that. I think at this point his vaule is in the late 4th early 5th round.

Kerfoot should be the odd man for cap reasons. But he has M NTC so maybe the Leafs can't traded to Arizona or any team poor team with cap.

They don't do it to help the Leafs. They do it because he's a good hockey player who is paid minimal (not cap, paid) relative to his skill, and frankly they can make a profit by almost certainly flipping him for more at the TDL
