Barrie is a perennial 50 point RHD on a great contract. Puljujarvi was top-5 in the league last season in many Relative metrics - his on ice impact is amazing. You think Edmonton is going to trade these guys for a broken LW making WAY too much money (who would play behind Kane, Holloway/Hyman and Nugent-Hopkins) and a B prospect LHD (who would play behind Nurse, Kulak, Broberg, Murray, Samorukov and Niemelainen)?

This makes absolutely no sense for Edmonton.

theres more value on the oilers side for sure but the habs wouldnt do this, i dont care what barrie's contract is he is gone in two years, hes the type of player you add as a final piece, habs arent a dman away from being competitive its going to be a few years atleast and I think harris will bring more to the team then adding another winger.

Lol you know what would be funny?
Throwing away a 2nd future top2 dman before he starts out in the NHL to rid ourselves of the original mistake and throwing away the 1st top 2 dman to acquire said mistake.
Dunno/don't rly care if this is good for Edm. Not necessarily bad for Mtl either, they just can't afford repeating the mistake made yrs ago.

If Puljujarvi is so good why is every reporter reporting that there is little to no interest around the league for him?
