How good do you think Valimaki is still!? Flames finally went out and got the center depth that they needed to move Backlund to a 3C where he should be, in no world are they moving him.

easy pass for the Islanders - they already have enough C depth (Barzal/Nelson/Pageau/Cizikas), plus they don't have the $5.35M in cap space they'd need to acquire Backlund anyway.
