One problem. For who? Martinook would need someone else to go down to come up. Even with him on the Taxi Squad, there are no contract spots available for Martinook

Not a LTIR expert but wouldn't the entire 4.05 be used on Gardiner? Pacioretty would be moved to LTIR to set a larger pool?

I’m not an expert either, but you want to be as close to the LTIR $ over the cap as that of the player going on. Gardiner creates the $4.05 of space once he is placed there.

Martinook waivers (buried salary calculation)
Stepan signed to $4.05m over cap numbe
Gardiner placed on LTIR
Canes have $4.05m of salary cap pool relief for in season roster moves.

This will all become much clearer by 5pm Monday, but this is pretty much spot on. They want to avoid using Max as LTIR. So trying to squeeze everything in with just Jake on LTIR.

There is no taxi squad, think poster was using that for demonstration purposes. Also, this is the problem? It’s pretty easy, Drury is waiver exempt according to CF so he’d go down to start in Chicago.

That's my point, I was referring to where he was displayed, not to where he will be. Drury is waiver exempt, but he's ready for NHL action. Noesen seems like the obvious candidate to go down. Drury looks like an NHL lock.

I’d be willing to put money on Noesen playing more NHL games this year than Drury

Bet, the loser buys the first round at the Canes' first home game in round 1?

I’m a hurricanes fan from afar, so can’t take that bet. I’d rather bet cash which we can’t do on here.

I'll take this bet, I am local. I don't see Noesen going down, he will get claimed.

I cannot see it. 30 years old, never really able to make it in the NHL. He's a good AHL captain
