Marchand and McAvoy to IR, one of them to LTIR for cap space. Filipe to SOIR. If they send down Foligno and he refuses the assignment they could suspend him without pay..

Filipe on SOIR ($0). Reilly, Foligno and Wagner to the minors. Lauko assigned too and they're at $408K. I assume they will then place Marchand/McAvoy on LTIR, recall Reilly and one of Foligno/Wagner or sign Stralman.

Reilly to the minors seems like such an unlikely scenario it verges on the, “no shot,” category.

It's only a cap move and he'll be called back up tomorrow. If they don't assign him, they aren't cap compliant today.

Okay, i can understand a paper transaction where he’s sent down just until they can get guys on LTIR and then call him back up.

They all cleared btw, not that surprising tbh. the 3mil caphit scares teams off. This pretty much confirms it will take a pick attached to Reilly to move him right now, obviously can change closer to the TDL.

Like bhavik said, this move was just to be cap compliant and put March/McAvoy on LTIR, then call them up.

No, it doesnt.

It confirms that no one wanted to take mike reilly right now. Not surprising given that a lot of other teams are in the same position as Boston - needing to shed cap prior to putting players on LTIR.

Did you read my full sentence before commenting? I said right now, that can change closer to the TDL. If you want me to be more specific, end of Nov/start of Dec when injuries return.

Sure. I guess i thought the talk of including picks implied that you didn’t literally mean this very minute. Some team could take reilly tomorrow after LTIR space clears up.
