The Jets will just keep their waivers-exempt LHD. RHD would be nice but it seems they aren't prioritizing that (they waived a RHD that got picked up by MTL).

The Kings aren't interested in LHD without NHL experience. 200 NHL games minimum.

Watch some Heinola highlights then get back to me. He should be at 200 GP by now if the Jets weren't mishandling him.

Ha, ha. You think that Los Angeles would be the side adding a third when exchanging a proven experienced RhD on a team-friendly contract for a prospect with only 25 games under his belt? Seriously?

Guess again.

I've seen Heinola play plenty. Doesn't change what the Kings are looking for. He's not a significant upgrade over Bjornfot.

Yes I do. Sean Walker is coming off a torn ACL and Heinola is a first round pick with massive upside.

Personally I’d make the deal cause of cap savings alone.

Upside doesn't equal now-side. Walker is playing in the NHL now; Heinola isn't. To put it another way, Walker is our #2LD this season; Heinola won't be ready for that even next season.

We have $1.25 million in cap space now.

The Jets aren't moving Heinola for two years of a bottom pairing D.
