Brannstrom was probably Ottawa's best Dman not named Jake Sanderson last night, why would they trade him right now? He's finally stringing together quality games, give him time to get that confidence back up.

The change that needs to happen is on the bench. This isn't a dump n' chase team anymore, they've out grown that style, they need to play with the skill they have. They need a coach who knows how to coach skill with a focus on puck possession, and they need a coach who will bring cohesive defensive systems.

Girard is overrated af. That 2023 1st could be a lottery pick. Ottawa is not moving that for him.
