Why not? I've seen several AGM's from Van fans trading him for a 3rd. The package offered here is much better. I still don't think Van trades Horvat, but I don't see any reason they don't move Schenn.

It is if Muzz is too injured to return this year. May be an overpay, but it makes this team so much deeper than they are now. IMO this team is setup for a deep playoff run. Yes we lose a top prospect and a b level prospect, but we keep your first this year and all our top forward prospects. In all honesty, Neimela is 2 years away and they are pushing to win this year. Both Dubas and Keefe's jobs should be on the line this year. This is an all in move.

If Vancouver is headed into a rebuild (which they probably won't, they probably retool instead), teams should lowball them on their expiring RFAs. Not give the farm.

They need defensive depth on the backend more than anything especially if Muzzin is out.

Also, trading their top prospects is going to cost them sooner rather than later because either they sign their stars to big deal and they will need those ELCs, or 1 or 2 of their stars walk, and they will need a replacement. Anyone they acquire in an "all in" move needs some term.

You do realize he's a FA and Van could just sign him in the offseason right? You're telling me as a Canucks fan you would be upset with this trade?
