That's not getting you Kane much less Domi as well. Kane alone = 2023 1st and Robertson or Knies. Domi right now equals a 2nd. Kerfoot and Engvall are cap dumps to the Hawks and have no value.
I agree the deal mentioned is short for BOTH Domi and Kane, but I'd imagine Chicago would have to entertain taking cap back, both to meet the floor, and make the deal work for potential suitors.
Because arguably if Kane is being dealt, so is Toews most likely, and even with retention, and Domi gone, that's $13M off the books.
I'd agree that a Kane deal would be 2023 1st + Prospect + Cap dump to make the deal work.
Klingberg is worth the 1st, a 2nd and cap dump to fit him in with retention.
That Arizona trade needs a pick as well, especially to a rebuilding team, a B-level prospect isn't enough to make the difference between a 20+ minute defenceman and Sandin.
