There's no such thing as a short rebuild.

You have an aging core and not a very good prospect pool compared to other teams. It's going to be a long painful rebuild if any.

I don't see a quick way out of this. San Jose is probably the hardest team to make good in a short time frame in my mind. Out of any team in the league. That Dcorp is still hurting.

I disagree. Are the Sharks better off with 34 year old Couture at 8m X 4 or 5m X 4? IMO no team is even gonna want him at 5m X 4.
