Why trade for Dumba when he is a pending UFA?

Much like VANs season so far, Jost too will be a disappointment at 3C.

Minnesota declines. They aren't trading dumba to take on boeser and his cap, cap dump in Pearson who Minnesota won't absolutely not take on

The Wild would decline because they can’t afford Boeser long term (Canucks would also decline but not the point here), but calling Pearson at 1.625M a cap dump just isn’t true

Everyone knows that players play better in front of Mommy so you can expect Boeser to improve in Minnie.
Pearson is still a good hockey player and a bargain at $1.65M.
Schenn can fill in at RHD until season's end.
It's unlikely that Dumba plays for the Wild next season, so why not get someone for him, and a pick. I'd consider resigning him, AFTER seeing how he fits with the canucks
I'll take a chance on Jost as a 3C and Fogarty is a depth player which the Canucks can use right now.
