Maybe I'm being pedantic, but I'd retain $200K to make it a cash-even trade ($1.2M-$200K=$1M for Bellows/NYR; $800K+$200K=$1M for Gauthier/NYI).

In all honesty, though, if Bellows clears I keep him. Still no idea why they'd waive him and keep 32 (since apparently they didn't dress him against Reaves & NYR tonight) but greater minds than mine have failed trying to solve the Ross Johnston Problem

I’ve tried to think of a logical explanation as to why bellows was waived over Johnston or soshnikov, but we have senile Lou as our GM so logic doesn’t exactly work here.

I don’t mind it. Why not give the guys a chance to succeed. Maybe they put it together, but as long as they are where they currently are, I don’t see things getting much better.

Bellows is not an nhler, Gauthier can at least keep up, that's about it. Nothing trade. Pass, simply for depth reasons for this season
