Hawks 2022 Deadline2023 Roster look

Team: 2023-24 Chicago Blackhawks
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 26, 2022
Published: Oct. 26, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
The Blackhawks continue the rebuild and decide to bring back Kane and Toews to finish their careers as Blackhawks. Kane gets traded but ends up coming back. The hawks fall short of Bedard but get a very solid consolation prize in Adam Fantilli with first line center potential.

The Hawks Make some big trades at the 2022 deadline to gather more top picks and Get Josh Bailey as a cap dump.

Kurashev will get a pretty solid pay raise next year, as I believe he will continue to break out this year

Before the casuals freakout in the comments. Lafferty is extremely underrated and is a grit bottom 6 player that is incredible on the pk. He can also score 5v5 and is this year's Brandon Hagel for the Blackhawks. I could see him getting at least a 2nd round pick. If he's traded at the 2022 deadline then he can get more since he has 2 years left on his deal right now.

Toronto is at the contract limit and don't need to trade Muzzin if he is on LTIR

I would love that, but we need to be realistic. I don't think they would do that for a player that they know won't be able to resign

On Holl? Likely a little bit yeah but not 2.4 million more. And he's no where close to Brodie and Liljegren going to take the other RD spot.

I can't see AA fitting in on the Island. He's all speed and no D. Good hands though.

He’s only got a year left. And he’s already 27. Likely not getting much better than what he is. A 2nd for a bottom six player isn’t a great deal for the Rangers. Hagel was only 23 and a definite middle six player. I think we pass.

It's to a contending team to win the cup. Who cares how he will be in 3-5 years this is a short-term solution.

Athanasiou is no joke one of the fastest players in the league. He's really sticking out on the hawk's roster right now and I think him playing with Barzal would make the fastest line in hockey. Or he plays on the second line and changes how they want their offense to be run. They need to make a change offensively and play with speed.

I can't see us spending a nice future asset on a rental unless he's a quality LhD like Jake McCabe (assuming he's healthy and playing reasonably well, of course).

Makes sense, but I think the defense and goaltending are very solid for the Isles rn. They should focus on a speedy forward.

Not good enough to move the needle. Rather not waste the pick on him.

Laff can put up points and contribute in the bottom six, but he also can change the identity of a team. The hawks exceeding expectations right now and having a solid start is all because of him. His penalty kill goals and forechecking and grit are contagious to the rest of the team.

Then it’s odd you’d want to move him. Sounds like the kind of guy you’d wanna keep even in a rebuild.

he doesn't fit our timeline. Same with Hagel and Debrincat.

23 is a tough one to move (talking about Hagel and Debrincat). Even though he’s like 27 need to keep solid players to ensure the culture is still decent and a good environment for the kids to eventually come up and play in.
