Initial Creation Date: Oct. 30, 2022
Published: Oct. 30, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Horvat 6.75x8
Petey 12x8
Lets go for Bedard, only 1 anchor contract really, Horvat's is low enough that it would be only 6.75% when it gets to the end, for reference that is about 5.5m, yea thats a noticable amount, but Look at a guy like Staal in Carolina hes worth it, Horvat will be a little older but his contract will end when he is 36 as opposed to 34. This team will stink this year, but that probably means that Kuzmenko will be a bit cheaper, Same with Hogs, after this we push for the cup, if we get bottom 4 we have a really good shot at getting a game changer, maybe even Bedard Does a Lindros but to Van, we pay our first and Lekkerimaki and boom.

Foerster can be our future 2C but could be our 3 C as soon as soon as next season.

lets say we get bedard
second pick gets used to get a D like Brzustewicz

I seriously doubt PHI would make that trade.

Hey leaf fan here. I'm going to say no the Schenn trade. Here is my reason you expect the leafs to give up Holl and 2nd for Schenn but then you go on a flip Holl in for a 3rd. Leafs need to keep their draft picks not through them around for a bottom pairing D man.

Now if you want trade Schenn straight up for Holl then I would accept that trade. Holl needs a change, and I've always like Scheen I think the leafs screwed up his development way back then.

Jets decline, they aren’t giving up a solid RHD prospect for yet another LHD they don’t have room for

Flyers probably say No. I dont think the value is bad just the age doesnt fit the timeline. if we wanted a aging star on a Big Contract we would've signed Gaudreau this Offseason. Flyers will most likely be in search of Players in their Final Year ob being an RFA if they're gonna give up big assets.

I don't think the Kings want Boeser's contract. The problem isn't this season, but the next few.

I think things may look different at the TDL when we have more clarity on the cap next year. I think that the cap going up by 4m is ambitious, but I dont think it is out of the question

See but the thing is that the canucks are eating half the salary of Holl,

I see it as schenn for a 3rd
Holl + (difference between 2nd and 3rd) for cap relief

but then holl can get delt for reteined salary and be a good pick up as then he is only a mil, Maybe you throw in another cap dump in there to make it work

Ok but I still don't see the need for this trade Holl is not really that overpaid and the leafs should be able to trade is contract without keeping any salary.
Also I like Schenn but I don't see any in the leafs top 6 D that he is going to push out, and don't say Holl he shouldn't be in the leafs top 6 either

Even if it does go up by $4M, the Kings still don't have room for Boeser. The difference between a $1M and $4M increase is whether or not the Kings can re-sign Trevor Moore next summer.
