Blockbuster 2022-23

Created by: TimothyJimothy
Team: 2022-23 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 27, 2022
Published: Nov. 1, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Before y'all tear this trade to pieces and call me stupid or something worse, let me preface it by saying that I realise that the VAN trade is outrageous and I'd be happy with either player for a decent price. Also, I understand that Drysdale is a long shot but guess what, it's an idea not a proposal that's being submitted to the United Nations.

Bolstering the defence however, is what they really need to do asap.

1: Ducks would decline, Jamie is a cornerstone of our rebuild, he isn't being moved.

2: Apparently you missed he is out 4-6 months with shoulder surgery.

Drysdale is probably untouchable from ANAs perspective

If he wasnt this is pretty light in value, Drysdale is a high impact young player, while Niemela (one of my favourites from that draft class) is a good prospect he isnt on the level of a guy like Drysdale
the third, Holl and Kral are non-factors value wise in this deal they dont move the needle at all. The Ducks are already loaded with picks they arent going to trade a budding superstar for some lottery tickets
A late first also doesnt do alot for a player like Drysdale

Niemela and the first for Klingberg (50% retained) has some merit to it for both sides if the goal in TOR is to add an offensive Dman

I dont see a world where the Ducks trade Drysdale for full value, and this isnt even that

Also if you havent seen it Drysdale is out 4-6 months with a torn labrum

Im not on here nearly as much as usual (being a new parent and just being bored of the same copy and pasted ACGMs for the past 5 years on top of the growing toxicity of the site)

Happy I can still beat you sometimes tears of joy

We used to get 150 kids or more on Halloween. But after no trick-or-treating for 2 years due to the pandemic, I only bought 100 pieces of candy this year because I thought attendance would be down. Much to my surprise, and disappointment, I have about 50 full-size candy bars left over.

I hope that by your newborn's first Halloween, things will have recovered!

It's crazy because I know people that did the same thing, and others who saw over 300 kids come through...and this is rural-ish PEI.

Like I said in my preface, I know it's a long shot and I knew about that injury. Didn't know it was 4-6months; thanks for the update. Then I guess we can pursue him next summer smile
