Description
Here are some moves I would try. Change of scenery type moves
Trades
1.
WSH
  1. Texier, Alexandre
Additional Details:
Looks to be a healthy scratch? He doesn’t appear to be injured and isn’t in the lineup.

Would be willing to add a later pick or average prospect?
CBJ
  1. 2024 3rd round pick (WSH)
2.
WSH
  1. Gurianov, Denis
Additional Details:
Might be a small return but he’s been less than stellar
DAL
  1. 2023 2nd round pick (WSH)

Texier is in the player assitance program or whatever it is called. He's not playing hockey (edit: in the NHL) at this time.

I was just reminded that Formenton has yet to sign, perhaps WSH can strike another deal with Ottawa.

I would say Canucks accept. Hoglander could benefit from a change of scenery and McMichael helps our center depth.

Texier isn’t a healthy scratch, he’s currently in the NHL’s Substance Abuse and Behavioural Health program. Looking at Elite Prospects, he’s currently playing in Switzerland. In his statement about his absence, he spoke about needing to be close to family (he is from France), so that’s probably why he’s playing in Switzerland now.

Makes sense. I looked at daily face off and didn’t see him on the IR so I made a bad assumption

Since Washington has some new found LTIR money, I think the Habs have a few zero cost players that could be cheap trade options for a team that doesn't want to spend any quality draft capital necessarily. Drouin, Dadonov and Hoffman are all very available for practically nothing in return other than their cap space.

Dadonov Feels like the only option there but he is really solid. What’s the cost for him?

I'm sure they'd let him go for like a 6th without any retention.
