Pens decline VAN trade. Blueger is a big part of the team and he definitely makes a difference for the bottom 6. Also we ca mn get more for Kappy and Dumo especially with retention

Ducks have 0 reason to move Comtois at all let alone for something that low

He fits the mold of what Verbeek covets is young and developing, no purpose in trading him for Pennies on the dollar

Ducks have no reason to move him for less than a first from a contending team

Dumo is barley playing like a 3rd pairing D-man and Kappy is a 4th liner. Both make way more than those roles typically would so it would be very difficult to move them, even with retention, for anything more than what I put. Other GMs know that we need to make changes and gain more cap space, they aren't going to make it easier for us.

They are still worth more. Kapanen has put up good point totals and he isnt a 4th liner lmao

We'll hang on to Max Comtois for at least a few months to see if he can make a full recovery from his injuries. If not, and it turns out that he's utterly useless, then we'll let you give us a third and a fourth for him.

Max Comtois has 18 points is his last 62 games. That's not territory for a first round pick from any team. If a contender wants to trade a first round pick, it'll be for a player that they know can help them win immediately.

Kappy has 3 goals in his last 50 games. Josh Archibald has 3 goals in his last 11 games.

That's 100% fair. Dude had so much potential to build off of a strong 2020-2021 season.

The only one that is a no is the last one. Pens PK is garbage. They need Teddy back badly in that regard. I wonder if they would do Poulin for Hoglander lol. Their new front office did draft Poulin ahead of Hoglander, maybe they still fancy him.
