I do not think Kane would approve a trade to the Isles, he is most likely wanting to go to the Rangers or home to Buffalo.

I don't see why he wouldn't approve a trade to NYI. He's mentioned many times that Barzal is one of his favorite players, I'm sure he'd love to play with him. We're a good team that needs a scoring winger, I'm sure he knows he can put us over the top.

There have been dozens of rumors and analysts speculating for months that his top choices are the Oilers, Rangers, and Caps with Buffalo also a possibility. It has also been rumored that he does not want to go to the leafs, you can google this and find tons of articles rather than providing a useless response.

He hasn't said anything of the sort. No discussions have been had on the subject. He has explicitly said he is not thinking about that at all at this point (so, he's at least trying not to think about it).

Not gonna be enough for Kane, IMO. He picked up right where he left off last year and he's a PPG player again this year. He's getting a *top* prospect (Raty/Dufour), a secondary prospect, and a 1st to start. I could see it being one of Raty/Dufour, one of Salo/Holmstrom/Bolduc, and the 1st to get Kane in the door. As it stands now, the Isles should be able to absorb his full cap at the deadline without needing retention (CF has them with $13M+ available at TDL) so no need to add an extra asset for retention.

I just don't know if I want to pay that kinda price for a rental. I think this team is good, and probably has a playoff run in them, I just think there's not enough in the futures cupboard to give up this many for one guy. Might just be me, though.

I swear he/his agent said that a handful of years back. I may be wrong

Kane to the Isles would be great. Heck he can ever cheer on his cousin play D1 hockey at LIU tears of joy but in all seriousness the conversation probably starts with 2 of Beau/Raty/Dufour/Holmstrom/Bolduc, a 1st and 2nd
