If Meier is dealt, Sharks will get a better offer than that. The 1st round pick would need to be 2023 not 2024.

If you want to send CHI a Johnson you are gonna have to take a Johnson back. Those are just the rules.

Dahlin is a RD and Samuelsson is his partner, which negates the need for the Chicago trade unless you swap Bryson for Jokiharju and rework the trade.

OK on this trade package I would like it to be a 2023 1st instead of 2024, can still be protected though. I think Buffalo is going to make playoffs this year

This isn't getting Timo. Very underwhelming package.

2 first round picks and a top 6 winger?

sharks fans have a pretty unrealistic ask. usually i intentionally go a bit below the fans ask because what the fans want never happens. Rosen is a top prospect and there's a first and a replacement in here. Asking any more is greedy.

Who would be offering better? Take a look around at teams that have cap to offer Meier an extension, have the assets to get him, and are in a buying position. Not many teams fall into those categories. As a neutral fan I don't know how sharks fans aren't content with this.

Do you think they will keep Dahlin RD long term?

He has 15 points in 11 game
But also, other than Botterill era Sabres, he's spent the majority of his career on RD.

Well, call it 3. Olofsson has 9 goals in 11 games. Honestly I hope he keeps this up so we can stop with the idea that he's the extra forward that we should move.

Isak Rosen must be the second coming of Bobby Orr.

If Rosen is Orr, what does that make Meier? Sharks fans assessment of him is starting to become laughable. This is essentially an upgraded Debrincat package and Meier is absolutely not better than debrincat.
