Our defense is bad enough as is. Downgrading from Myers to Holl while also giving up a young promising winger doesn’t make sense just to add two unneeded pending UFAs

Plus if needed Myers can be dumped easier next year after his signing bonus is paid, probably for assets with retention

Very unlikely, Myers isn't worth half his salary.

Myers is worth about 3.5-4M. Half retained he absolutely gets a solid return
