Description

We have players like Kapanen, Carter, who are almost impossible to move. Why not send 2 of them to the Canadiens for Brendan Gallagher. Seems like a win/win to me. His contract is horrible, but he is the type of player we need, someone who can change momentum. We send our bad contracts (only 2 years) for him (5 years) cause if we're only competing 2-3 more years anyways his contract won't matter down the line. Would be better having Gallagher for 2 years competing then last 3 be bad then having guys like Kap and Carter doing the same thing. He'd bring something different to the lineup.

Interesting proposal. Not totally against it but as much as he's overpaid I kinda want Gally to retire a Hab. Been watching him his whole career. Still think to myself what that heart could do in Anderson's body...

Carter has a full NMC. He isn't going anywhere, expect maybe to the wing because he is a defensive liablity anymore.

The value is good no doubt but not sure MTL would do it. Gallagher means a lot to the team and they have a surplus of forwards. Add Farrell and Mysak next year, maybe even Beck, ylonen. They need to get rid of forwards not add more
