Absolutely no chance LA does that. While Dubois is more offensively talented than Danault his term (factoring his desire to go to FA) really sinks his value. I doubt the Kings would even trade Danault 1 for 1 here

I think if you are moving Wheeler it will be with a large amount of retention and to a team that is contending now.

Danault is a superlative 200-foot player (including penalty-killing) and his offensive contribution has been more than we expected. He's signed for four more seasons, so you're absolutely right -- there's no way we would exchange one for the other even though DuBois is more productive offensively.

The only Jets I can see us interested in are Samberg and Heinola and, more remotely, Morrissey.

Danault's 2-way game is great, he falls right in that field of the ideal middle 6 centers that shutdown the opponents top lines (Backlund, JGP, Gourde, J. Staal, Eriksson Ek, Cirelli, and to some extent Eller, Coyle and I guess Toews now). It especially helps for sheltering players like Byfield
