Now imagine a scenario where they package all those 2nd, 3rd and 4th round picks to move up into the 1st round...

Flyers say no. Were not gonna be trading for 3rd Liners unless their free. We have a Log Jam of people that need Ice time coming up. More Likely to make a move for a Star Like Keller

You're right, but man, I would have taken 2 of Bystedt/Lund/Havelid (or all 3!) over trading up to take Geekie last year.

chiarot got a second. hagel got two firsts. boyd played really solid last year and with a 1.25 mil contract for 2 years he's easily worth a second. really cheap solid bottom six guy

In this market, bjorkstrand garnered a couple of late rounders. We are still in that market until the salary cap shoots upward. It’s a buyers market rn and I can assure you, no one is paying that for Boyd. He may deserve it if we weren’t in a flat ish cap world. But we are so he isn’t worth that

Yeah. That’s a no from NJ, we’d probably go with a cheaper rental option like Bonino or something. No way they are giving up a 2nd for Boyd. Last time they gave a 2nd for a rental was for Micheal Grabner and it was easily one of Sheros worst moves as GM. I think Fitz is smart enough to not do that

I am aware of that, but go look at minor trades like this and see if anyone got their true value recently. Nobody has bc we are in a flat cap world and it is a buyers market bc teams that take on any cap, will be getting their guy for cheap. It’s how it has worked for quite a while now. Hopefully the cap can jump soon and their true values will be shown through trades
