Perfect time to bring up ville

Description
The jets need to be better at moving the puck still. Bring up ville and have him make an immediate impact. He can get pp time without pushing any regular out with the injuries and should get plenty of opportunity with Samberg being scratched recently.

Do you mess with something that is working right now?

Jets are on a roll, and actually getting 3rd line production for the 1st time in 3 years.

I am almost afraid of Ehlers coming back as it may upset the balance.

Well, I don’t think bringing up ville is messing with it. Three different players have played in that 6th d role 11 games into the season, there’s nothing working about that. Adding in ville doesn’t mess it up, it potentially provides a solution.

As for ehelrs coming back, I welcome it. Our power play hasn’t looked the same without him. The 3rd line will still produce and will only get better. Gustafsson is getting better each game and Lowry is bringing a consistent showing. A healthy bottom 6 would only be more productive.

I’m still concerned about not having a true middle-sis guy though. Appleton is not a middle-six guy. Chevy needs to find someone in my opinion

His name is Kerfoot lol. But for some reason Jets fans hate that idea.

Kerfoot would be nice. Issue now is that Toronto isn’t cap strapped so won’t be super cheap to get him. Would Toronto be interested in Stanley for kerfoot. With muzzin out Stanley could be added

I have proposed that before. Stanley checks a lot of boxes for the Leafs.

Think it’s makes a lot of sense for both teams.

Leafs fans don't like Stanley.

Frankly, I see a big body who hits things and can play 17 minutes a game. Be an awefullt good fit on the 3rd pairing. Not sure he gets into the top 4..... but he is also still young. My only concern would be his skating, which for a stay-at-home D can be dealt with

His skating is actually pretty solid at this point. He’s honestly mistaken for a shutdown defensive dman. He’s more of a two-way dman who gets pucks to the net, PKs and can play physical at times. 15-17 minutes a night could be easily achieved.

Idk which jets fans you’re talking about but I personally love that and have been advocating for it. But his m-ntc probably gets in the way

The better the Jets look as the season goes on, I could see it as a possibility. If you are going to wave a NTC, waive for a shot at the Cup.
