I think we would accept that if he isn't signed by the deadline.

Horvat has to come extended for that. Could see him being a target but it really doesn’t help Raty’s progress in the immediate future. I’d like to see a legit winger added. I’d do that package for Timo Meier

That Vancouver trade is awful for the isles - Horvat is going to regress the 2nd half of the season. It's the exact kind of trade Mike Milbury would make

Horvat wants 8 mill per - hard pass. He's having a great start to the season but he has always been just a solid 2nd liner who struggles at 5v5. I'd rather trade for Meier as well.

Friedman said that it's going to take more than the Canucks want to extend horvat - many top 6 centers have gotten around 8 mill over the last two seasons, its obvious he wants close to 8 mill

Isles wouldn’t trade Wally straight up for Horvat given his age and contract status. Doesn’t make sense for NY from an asset management standpoint.

You've mixed up Miller and Horvat lol. He's not asking for 8

That’s the market for horvat in a career year. If he’s getting 30+ goals 60 pts he’s getting close to 8 mill. UFA’s always get overpaid

You’re just making stuff up man. No one has ever said his ask is 8 million.

Most speculation involves 7-7.5

It’s speculation based on what Friedman said. Read between the lines. He’s on pace to score over 40 goals, he isn’t getting less than 8 mill per

Technically he is on pace to score 75 but your point stands. Doesn't matter though, there will be a GM that overpays for him no matter what

Massive overpay for Horvat. Hard pass.
