If the Leafs are getting rid of Engvall and his future replacement in Anderson, I hope they bring back Kapanen. Those speedy wingers really help their PK get shorthanded opportunities and are meant to bring secondary/tertiary scoring from the bottom 6. If Kapanen isn't available and can't be had with retention then Andreas Johnsson.

I'm guessing Kerfoot won't be coming back either since Jarnkrok is basically his replacement.

As for defenders, the Leafs need someone who can replace either Sandin in the line up for the playoffs (or Holl if Sandin elevates his game later in the season as is able to play top 4 minutes comfortably).

Nothing in it for Canucks....a UFA and a non NHLer. If JVR is playing well, he should get more for Philly at TDL

JVR at 50% retention gets more than that, (does Anderson has ANY value? I dont think so)

He needs to be put on LD where he belongs. If he isn't the leafs future 2nd pairing LD than trade him because he can't handle speed to the outside when playing RD.

I don't think they need to trade him, he'll likely play the left side the following season and have an increased role moving forward.

If they were to add Schenn for the run, I don't see him replacing Holl directly, they probably keep Brodie and Holl together and place Gio with Schenn. Or if they add a top 4 LHD that can play RD (or RHD), that would allow fir either Sandin or Holl to be replaced in the lineup.
