Why on earth does Ottawa trade for an $8.5 million goalie who has played a total of five games in the last two seasons and has a 90% chance of never playing again?

I don't see Columbus trading what looks like lottery pick for Edmundson.

I'd also like to know what Montreal wants with a 38 year old Russian that's never coming over. Wack trade all round.

laugh Carey Price career is over, he's not returning no 1st and 2nd round picks plus those other pieces.

Alex Formenton is under criminal investigation, Until it's cleared up he's going nowhere.

So a trade involving players that may never play again, and somehow Ottawa gives up a bunch of picks??? Why would they want Price even if he was healthy?

lol this is no "perfect world" ... it's rather idiotic. Nobody wants Formenton with his bs, Price only has value in a trade when dealing with a team who needs an LTIR contract for being up against the cap limit (See Weber/Dadanov trade with VGS), Columbus isn't trading picks with how they're season has started. Getting that value in return would be great for MTL but there is absolutely no way every GM in the NHL has smoked enough crack to consider these. A 1st for Edmundson is the closest to logical except he needs to stay healthy first and you'll have to find another team. He'd be a better fit for an LA trade returning a young RD, adding to either side to balance it out however the actual GMs see fit.
