(Not necessarily with LA) Do Montreal get more or less value?

Explanation:
Monahan takes Lizotte's spot, Edmundson is a great leader, good defenceman, and is built for the playoffs, which is what pezzetta adds (you could take him out tho just a little extra grit)
Value:
Edmundson - 1 & 2; he's better than chiarot and chiarot got basically that last year, Monahan - 2nd; with half retained I think it's fair, could probably go for a bit more but Edmundson is already costly
Pezzetta and Lizotte just switch; maybe lizotte has a bit more value but you could always add a pick from Montreal's side

Aside from not having the cap space to do this, this trade is a serious joke. Kings are much better as is than after this trade, also I don't know how many times we have to tell Montreal fans but the LD they are looking for will be paired with shut-down Matt Roy. Edmundson is not the piece the Kings are looking for, and I don't care if Monahan scored some goals, he's still overpaid. This trade is trash.

You keep comparing him to Chiarot but how well did that work out for Florida? If anything the Chiarot trade is going to make teams less likely to make a similar trade. This trade makes LA older and that's about it.

LA keeps their picks. They could get Chychrun for those picks plus a decent player or good prospect.
