if so the trade still makes sense, we trade for him, get him to play with the marlies for a bit to learn the system, then we call him up

Sanford is definitely worth any team taking a flyer on him, as long as they have the cap for the remaining months to run an extra skater. Because you will definitely have to sit him. One of the most frustrating players to watch. His random poor engagement will test anyone. Buddy seems to forget he's a bottom line guy and needs to always be grinding. Also, he can't play with DK. That will be done shut down mins. He can't handle that.

I get why teams would like Crouse. Nice on the forecheck, big player etc. But the Leafs have been good on the forecheck, and Crouse has been bad overall as a player this year. A great majority of his goals have been on a really good power play. And zero chance he could play with Matthews and Marner. Top comp will eat him alive. He's dreadful defensively. Worse than any player on the Leafs. But the biggest problem is the contract. It's not crazy outrageous, but it's 5yrs and an overpay. Leafs clearly are working in a 2/3 year window with their deals.

bunting managed to shine with the big boys, im sure crouse can make it happen, and yea chances are hed get 2nd pp time with no pk. but thats ok with me if he can play 19 mins per night 5v5. i think hes very underrated, kinda like hyman before he was traded to the leafs, hes captain material, and would be a huge add to our team and locker room. ( imo )

crouse to the leafs would be the equivalent of bennet getting to florida. coming home with a chance would 100% fire him up

-Tampa's got more than enough guys in the AHL making $750K they can call up for the 11 minutes a night Malgin is getting. Foote is going to more important to them when Anthony Cirelli is ready to come back and they need to trim some fat from their payroll - right now they're carrying 13 F / 8 D(not including Foote who's on IR), and Philippe Myers and his $2.55M cap hit getting 11:33 a night seems like a prime candidate to get sent down to make room.

-Arizona just convinced Crouse to stick around for the next 5 years in the desert. He could've signed his RFA tender and got the hell out of there in a year or two, but he obviously likes it. I cannot see them bailing on him a mere 17 games into that 5 year deal for this grab-bag of question marks.

-Kerfoot's value is probably around here but if you're not getting Crouse (and you're not with that offer) I'd keep Kerfoot instead.

-If Sanford hadn't just been waived I would've said he probably gets more (he cost a 5th last year with his $2M cap hit at the deadline) but at this point Nashville is probably fine with whatever. But if you're not clearing out all those contracts in the Crouse deal, I don't think you have a contract slot for him.

malgin would be a big add for them, he can most likely have a bigger impact than foote. esp since they have found replacement in perdix and bogosian, that being said malgin also looked good playing with our top guys, he could play in their top 6 with a vote of confidence from the coach, ZAR-kampf- malgin has to be one if not the best 4th line in the league, they have a big impact everytime they hit the ice. at the very least hes a reliable third line player making 750k.

TOR has 50 contracts, no one took Simmonds on waivers again, so TOR has to move somebody to take anybody.

But those deals are pretty weak. Malgin doesn;t get Foote, I'm not sure Malgin has much value whatsoever. Kerfoot doesn;t get a 3rd at this point, based on his play this year and contract status at this point. Gaudette and SDA probably have negligible, if any value.

????? Tampa isn't going to trade a RHD to the Leafs of all teams.....especially if he NHL good.
McCann has shown no ability to be NHL good. Let's not confuse AHL hockey with NHL hockey.

to a non playoff team who doesn;t want a UFA rental, and whose 3rd rounder is probably high in the round, and isn;t scoring anything close to a 50 pt pace? yes he does not get a 3rd rounder.

he dint look out of place at all in the camp. if holmberg can get a chance why cant he? esp since holmberg is way younger and could use some time playing more minutes to hopefully become better than a 4th liner.

You're sounding like a homer, who just wants value for his own team. Tell me, would any GM in the league trade a NHL RHD with years of control for Malgin.
The trade makes zero sense for Tampa.

Really? Holmberg has played years in a the very competitive SHL. McCann is 26 years old. College player till last year, and admit last year with Marlies was OK to good. But this year he has played three games in the with the Marlies. A big stretch to think any of the Marlie centres are NHL ready....maybe not never, though I like SAD's progress this year

I can't believe any knowledgable fan would even consider it a good trade for Tampa. Homerism or trolling at itsworse.

foote hasnt done much and most tampa fans say his value is max a 3rd. so it really isnt that bad of a trade. the only thing that could nick this trade is the fact that we are in the same division and rivals. thats it

Wow, the Malgin love is wrong. Hey I wish him every success for whatever teams he plays for. But to think his trade value is that of a young NHL RHD......delusional.

Hey, no problem, but a 26 yr old (kind of rookie) with 4 pts in 16 games in an offensive system on a really good club is not really a huge sure thing. Hes playing well, but ultimately you probably get similar play/stats from half a dozen players in the system (Holmberg, Steeves, etc...).

He could be a mikheyev or engvall, but I think the jury is out on that... Hes a worker, but IMO hes an easily replaceable worker and every team in the league has a few guys like that.

He plays with 2 shutdown players. He’s not used in a offense role
