This is basically the Eichel return.

In a way, but the "Eichel return" was when he was about to get neck surgery and was forcing himself out of Buffalo. If Eichel got dealt now, it would be a lot more

I don't know if the sharks would be willing to part with timo without a 2023 first in return

That’s honestly still way to much. Casey looks like an absolute stud, Sharangovich is a pretty solid middle 6 forward and plus a 1st and 3rd? Wayyy to much

Yes but he was better, under team control for a lot longer, and played a more valuable position.

There are No comparables to Meier that got nearly this much

I could see a return like this happen if it's this season. In the 2023-24 off-season though, he's netting less. Assuming this is actually like the Eichel deal.

Sharangovich holds more value than Holtz, so surely Sharangovich, Casey and picks would be a lot more than Holtz.

That’s way too much. the return for Meier is expected to be more like the DeBrincat trade

Yep, and also
Tuch>Sharangovich
Krebs>Casey
2nd>3rd

So no this isn't the Eichel trade

I hope it would be and more because 7OA, 39OA and OTT's 24' 3rd is better than this

Doesn't Holtz have top 6 potential though? SJ currently has plenty of middle 6ers atm so not sure they would be interested in Sharangovich. Casey & 1st are the key parts

I’d look into the return for SJ a bit more if I were you, since this is clearly more value

Tuch = Sharangovich
Krebs >= Casey

But more importantly, Eichel >> Meier. The Eichel’s injury and Meier’s contract situation probably present an equal amount of risk.
