I mean, both Hall and Klingberg are showing that 1 year UFA deals tend to end in disaster for you. Hall had an awful year and got a meh contract and Klingberg has been horrible in ANH

ROR is a former Conn Smythe winner and Selke Trophy. He doesn't need to prove himself. He might be declining offensively but that's the risk whoever signs him will have to deal with. He may be willing to take a discount but there's no reason for him not to go for a 6 or 7 year term.

To be fair Klingberg would have gotten paid if teams had the cap or probably if he was willing to go to teams that weren't contenders. I think SEA was interested in him perhaps he declined.
