Myers has outplayed him and he signed an extension before the season starts. To get under the cap somebody two guys have to go down. Fleury would clear, Foote wouldn’t so I’m betting we trade him.

Makes sense. I hope there is a deal to be made with Van.

You're higher than Snoop Dogg if you think that . There is a reason even with Foote's injury he's played more games and more TOI per game so this we have no option is a complete LIE!!!!!

No he really isn't being outplayed by Myers. The coaching staff ⚕️ s healthy scrating Myers more and when they both are playing Foote's averaging about 5mpg more .

They extended Myers before they really saw him play or knew what they had in Perbix. Myers has All the tools but a hockey IQ of a house plant.

nah i think your assessment is the opposite. I think he has fair IQ with a lot of room to grow to a good two way defenseman. He's shown good offensive instincts, alright defensively. His skating and puck handling are the areas i think he needs the most improvement in. I think just like Cal Foote his problem is poor decision making which gets him caught in bad situations. Bad timing, pinch selection, reading rushes defensively. That will come with time they both havent played very much time in the NHL to show serious growth. Foote obviously has more experience playing at a high level.

His skating is fine a good skater actually. He plays like a p****and and no his decision making is God awful. And for Foote I am going to quote Coach Zettler His positioning and decision making are outstanding. Foote's problem is his foot speed. His skating sucks. Actually Myers has a lot more NHL games than Foote

yeah i know that youre right. 150 something gp to 100 something plus the playoffs. Foote puck skills are pretty trash imo. Idk theres room to grow for both and theres no better city to do it in.

As far as Myers again Coach Zettler when asked about him by Paul Kennedy "we got a lot of work to do." That's a scary statement.

i know you said that a month ago. He does have potential tho. I hate the fact they play him with Fluery most nights. Im fine with him 3rd pairing with Cole

He's 25 already has done nothing to improve that opinion. He seriously has the 5 cent brain for hockey. Cut bait for crying out loud.

Neither one is ever going to be more than a 3rd pairing type, but depending on what Foote may be looking for on his next deal should be the main factor if either is moved. If it looks like Foote is asking for more than 1.5, tops, he should be traded unless they can clear Myers' hit without significant adds. Foote isn't worth any more than that, but unfortunately his trade value is down to likely a late 2nd or 3rd at best at the moment.
