Avs get a decent dman with cup experience and with Byram, teowes, and makar they're pretty good.
Plus they get a solid rental who is playing exceptio ally well.

Habs get a quebec boy and solid d man. And call up a hot Richard to fill the missing center.

We don't need Girard, he's not a RHD even though he can play on the right side.

We already have 2 Quebec boys in our D core with Matheson and Savard.

ATA minimum in MTL land where a dude goes from a team paying a 1st to make him go away to 21 games later being worth a first.

So COL gives up a top 4 dman locked up for half a decade o a sweetheart deal for an injury prone bottom 4 and guy who 21 games ago was so bad his team paid MTL to take him. Needless to say COL’s front office isn’t stupid and that’s an immediate decline.
