Description
The Perfetti-Scheif-Wheeler line reminds me of when KC came into the league and was instantly playing with Scheif and Wheels. If this line can put up consistent numbers then I would keep them together. PLD and KC were amazing together last year so adding Ehlers will make it one of the best lines in hockey. The bottom 6 will probably rotate a bit until they find something that really works. The Barron-Lows-Apple line was pretty good to start the year so I would assume Bones would want to try it again. Gus has been one of my favourite jets this year and has to be in the lineup every game, he is an elite defensive center and elite PK'er. Axel has also been a huge surprise along with Saku. I think that the best 4th line with a healthy lineup is Axel-Gus-Saku. That means that Gagner is a healthy scratch, and Toni, Eyssimont, and Harkins are sent down through waivers.

The defence is pretty straightforward. Morrissey-DeMelo has been our best pair for the last few years and has been very good as of late. Dillon-Pionk was awful last year but is looking pretty good this year. And a 3rd pair of Samberg-Schmidt is ok, but it is all we have. Wouldnt mind seeing Heinola string a few great games together in the AHL then call him up and play him immediately, they have to stop calling him up and sitting him in the press box before playing him.

I agree with your analysis and these are the lines I would run as well! Good job.

Only thing I'd do different is send Capo down on waivers and keep Harks. I don't think we need 8D and I really don't know what the point of that Capo signing was anyway. And Harks has looked great since his callup, so I wouldn't mind cycling him and AJF once in a while.

I know Saku had 2 goals in Chicago but I've been more impressed with Eyssimont and Harkins since they've both came up than AJF or Saku, I'd probably waive Capo and keep 2 forwards in the pressbox (really doesn't matter it's mostly depth moves).
But I agree otherwise and run with that top 9 and d-core as well.

I totally agree that we don't need 8D, I would like to keep Harkins up here, eyssimont has been decent but not amazing. I imagine when stanley comes back he will be traded (Maybe for a F but I like how the team is playing right now, so maybe for a pick/prospect then wait till the deadline). So that leaves Capo as the 7th D so we can carry Harkins and Gagner as 13th and 14th Fs. I really like AJF as he is a great PKer, I think Saku could be a 13th F at some point, but for now, I like the idea of AJF-Gus-Saku line.

I do think Stanley gets traded so we can carry Harkins. I think that someone would snag Harkin on waivers if/when he gets sent down.

I'd be fine with that as well, agree that Harkins likely gets claimed.

Personally I'd prefer to see Harkins, Eyssimont or Gagner in over Fjallby, Menalanen could stay but needs to get going or be scratched, Gus' line needs to start finding the back of the net a bit more often too.

Opinion on Rittich so far? I would love to see Salminen at some point if Rittich doesn't get it together.

I haven't paid too much attention to the moose this year but seeing that Salminen has a .913 I wouldnt mind giving him a chance, still only 23 years old, and probably should see if you have something with him as Hellebuyck is expiring soon. Ritter has a good record (3-1-0), but has a .890 and a 2.77 GA, and he would have way better stats if he didn't blow the 3-0 lead against CAR. I think if Ritter starts losing us games then you make that switch.

Yea, I went to an AHL game a couple of weeks ago with Salminen in net. He made some nasty saves at crucial times. We still lost the game cause Holm allowed 3 goals in one period and offense was non-existent.
