Super undersized d men do pretty well in NCAA, especially hockey east for some reason. He’s not even 150 pounds. He isn’t going to be in the NHL. Amazing? Cmon.

sure, caufield was also too small for the nhl, like spurgeon and krug. none of them will be in nhl ever. cmon. sure he is small but he is definitly amazing. will he end up being in the nhl? i'm smart enough to know that i dont know.

Caufield is a forward. So thanks for bringing him up, but i don’t really see the relevance. Spurgeon and krug look like giants compared to Hutson. The chances of him making the NHL are tiny. You need to work on your definition of amazing.

they are as tall as hutson depending on the source. they are about the same weight each when they were 18 years old. you can be small and amazing. your not making much valid point.

Nahhh Hutson is probably about 4 inches shorter than those guys. Guessing you’ve never seen him live.

So you haven’t seen him live. Gotcha. Ya, he’s tiny.

If you think people that have different opinions from based on their real world experiences, that is both a very sad position, and a tough way to go through life. Good luck out there.

but like you are arguing that the nhl combine mesurements are wrong... you are saying, without any proof, that i should trust you over the nhl... you are the one with a problem if you think thats how the world works. of course im going to disregard.your opinion if all you say is '' i think he is 4 inch shorter that some other guys cause i think he is small ''.

Lol buddy, teams have been fudging the numbers on players height and weight forever. NCAA teams are even worse. When I played NCAA I was in the program at 5’10” when 5’8” might have been generous.

You think johnny gaudreau is 5’9”? He’s not. I’ve stood next to him. Marchand 5’10”? No shot. Usually with shorter guys, especially d men, take off a couple inches. Weirdly the only one that they didn’t seem to BS was Nathan gerbe.

once again you hold all the knowledge. so krug and spurgeon are the right heights but not hutson. how conveniant for you argument. anyway, the whole point was that the kid is doing great. even better than great right now. we'll see in a few years if he becomes a nhler. right now he is exceeding.expectation

Holding knowledge is helped by actually getting to watch guys play.

So great. Congrats to him on being the second best undersized d man on his NCAA team.

lol its not ghule already showing hes capable of playing top pair minutes, Xhekaj and Harris are showing solid signs still very young, Mailloux should transition pretty well once he's given the green light, Barron is probably going to be called up if/when theres some injuries or trades. Hutson having a record sitting performance in the NCAA (dont care about his height hes a smaller offensive defensemen and our back end has plenty of size) on top of that still have a slew of draft picks this year which will probably add a few more dman to the mix, and Struble is also got a decent chance of being a factor in the near future.

what do you show up to the game and run down to measure players? your insights are laughable, but we will have to allow some time for you to inevitably be proven wrong unfortunately.

Yes he is, he had a bone disease at younger age which as slow down is growth. Now is healthy and add a couple inches in the last year and he can still grow...
