Description

As I said, I'm kind of playing devil's advocate here, but is this really be that bad? All of these players had great production under Doug Weight, and a LOT of our younger skaters will earn substantial pay raises over the next three years (Beauvillier, Barzal, Ho-Sang, Pulock, Soderstrom/Sorokin). It might make more sense to see how a tradeless roster does in the first quarter of the season, then make an early season trade if we don't look playoff bound.

I'm not ecstatic about losing Nelson or Strome, but we can't afford to lose more defenseman. We don't have too many quality defenseman prospects, so losing Hamonic, de Haan or Pulock would cripple our defense not only now, but going into the future. As for LWs, we have a wealth of prospects. Losing Nelson hurts, but we will recover quickly.

Doubt the NYI would lose Nelson, More like one of their D with either De Haan or Hickey.

Well he protected De Haan and honestly if I'm a GM deciding between Hickey and Nelson im taking Nelson and running. I would LOVE for Vegas to take Hickey, LOVE it.
