If you think Barrie is an asset in that trade or that Foegele is not a cap dump than delusional would be a very good description for you.

Zona has been steadfast in what they want for Chyc for over a year and have not budged. What amounts to some combo of 3 1sts/high end prospects. You have 1 there. They might take Yammer as the 3rd piece if you add another pick or prospect. Barrie is nothing to them. They’d take him if they had to to make cap work, nothing more. He does not enhance the package, he brings the value down, He has little value to anyone other than as PP specialist.

Boston offered 1st/Lysell/3rd/and a young d man for Chyc at the deadline last year and were declined. With as much interest as there is in him they will hold out for what they want or as close to it as they can get. And that…that’s not it. Not even close.

As far as Foegele goes, go look at what the the Nucks paid to move Dickinson. That’s your baseline for Foegele. Domi is worth a 2nd+ with retention, adding Foegele makes that price go up. That extra year makes it tough. If it was an expiring contract it’s a bit easier to take, knowing there is still another year left you are paying to move him.
