This is the type of value I'd like the Devils to offer for guys like Terry, Keller and DeBrincat.
For Meier and his 10m QO, one of Holtz or the 2023 1st rd pick is left out of the deal realistically.

EJ blocks the trade, Couts could be max retained and still I wouldn't want to give up a 1st n Ranta. Until Byram and Newhook are extended, the Avs can't take on long term cap.

I highly doubt Seattle goes for this. I like Hertl a lot as a player, but I don't think Seattle is in a position to accelerate their timeline just yet despite their hot start to the season. Their best path forward to sustained success is likely to just keep building up their young core, and that means holding onto someone like Wright. Now, that doesn't mean the Kraken should sell off pieces at the deadline or anything; in fact, I think they should hold onto their players with maybe some smaller additions to help with the PK and enjoy the ride and try and reach the playoffs. If this success proves to be sustainable, then they can revisit the idea of pulling off a blockbuster signing or trade in the offseason.

What's the point of moving Vlassic at the cost of three high draft picks just to end up 20 million under the cap? Also, Ducks say no. Don't need draft picks that badly especially since you left out the 2023 1st.

There’s needs to be a 1st per year remaining if Vlassics deal attached

    Devils accept.

On one condition. Meier signs 8 years x $1 million.
