I agree it’s a lot, but you’re not just trading for the player, you’re trading for 2 1/2 seasons of him at $4.6M ($3.5M in this trade). That low cap hit allows the Kings to resign Moore, resign Quick, extend Anderson, extend Vilardi. If Blake doesn’t trade some of these prospects, he’s going to lose them next season via waivers.

ARZ won’t retain $1.1M for a 1st, 2nd, 3rd plus three players who were drafted in the 1st or 2nd round? I disagree.

I would go as high as the 2024 first, 2023 second, a roster player (Kupari or preferably Anderson-Dolan or Durzi) or prospect, and another prospect (Spence or Grans). Anything else is too much, in my opinion. And AZU won't retain -- they're broke.

Agree Blake has to do something about too many prospects. Getting a player like Chychrun is worth it and it partially solved the too many prospects. Posts keep saying not to take draft picks for the prospects; but trading them for prospects continues to the give the Kings depth--which was lost with Dean and it is better than losing them waivers.
