With Boeser available it makes more sense for CGY to pursue the guy they can keep.

There's no incentive for Winnipeg to do that.

The problem though is Weegar and Huberdeau's extensions next year aren't going to leave them with much room even with a 4m cap rise. They won't be able to fit 7mx8 and Horvat can get more potentially.

I'd definitely love to have Horvat, but I'd move Kadri to the Wing, not Lindholm

I'd also prefer to keep Dube, so take Schwindt instead, sound good!?

Luke Schenn might be an ideal Shut Down 3rd Pairing RD for us too... Would you take Gilbert or Mackey + a 4th him!?

Apparently Horvat might be getting a 9m deal so we definitely can't fit him in. That's not remotely enough for Schenn, he probably gets a pretty big return at the deadline

Josh Anderson -- and is extended cheaper contract -- enters the chat 😉

You’re probably right but we could ship Mangiapane or Backlund out and use their money for Horvat

We should show loyalty to Backlund, but Top-6 C’s are both attractive and smart acquisitions

I like Stone but feel a replacement Shut Down guy to replace Gudbranson might be ideal, especially if Kylington doesn’t return and we keep Tanev at 2RD. Schenn is Big, Tough, Cheap and Experienced, so yeah he’ll be in demand for sure

Get real, Calgary won't have the money to extend Bo Horvat once Huberdeau and Weegars new contracts kick in. Horvat will get close to 8 x $8,500,000 if not more. And Calgary doesn't have it.
