2 of Bostons best players are likely to retire this year or next. they should be in a win now mode and go all in… but i agree with you that focusing on the future now should be a priority.
but Boston has a good chance at winning it all this year and it might we worth it to go all in even at the expense of the future.
i agree with you and the creator of this post. this one is hard!

I'm fine with them moving the 2023 first and most of their prospects, but to me that 2024 1st, Lysell, Lohrei, Harrison and Poitras should be untouchables for BOS considering like you said the questions surrounding future centres, Pasta contract negotiations, and just how competitive the team will be post Bergy era, so holding onto their future 1st's is pretty important because those could be top10 picks.

He’s worth a couple 1sts and some high end prospects.

There are no high end prospects in the trade offer though.

Nieto automatically increases your PK standings. Easily one of the best PKers in the league. He'll cost a bit more than a 4th, though.

Our PK is just fine. Bergy/Marchy enough said and Coyle/Nosek have been fantastic.

Zero interest in Nieto.

And B’s don’t do either of them. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Much as i’d like Terry. That’s not happening.

Nieto sits in the press box. I could see him as a depth piece move at the TDL. It’s not unrealistic. Asking for much more than a 4th is pushing it.

With B’s having 33k in cap space available they are not doing anything major, or anything minor without moving some cap.

He's the best prospect in probably the worst prospect pool in the NHL. So yeah, I know who he is. I'm not trading Terry for him that is for certain.

That’s a different conversation. He is certainly a high end prospect across the league.
