If he re-signs he’s going to cost at least $9M with that QO. The seems like way way too much.

some people aren't great at looking at the full scope of their ideas and working out the consequences, so you have to lay it out pretty clearly for them.

Nylander is good as gone regardless, he's just going to hold out like he did it the first time and will ask for an absurd amount with the way he is playing and will have no hesitation going to market if he doesn't get what he demands. How do I know this? Sandin held out under the same agent as Nylander. So it's either give up assets to get a replacement and trade Nylander for assets which will net a good return or have not as good of a replacement as Nylander when Nylander goes to FA and lose assets by not trading him away
