Hoffman doesnt have positive value to ANA

especially when you factor in his past issues in locker rooms, no reason to bring that into a rebuild

very easily declined by the Ducks

I keep telling Habs fans... We like Hoffman now. Dadonov needs to go though. Just awful.

I am not a fan of Boeser so I would prefer we target a prospect like Mavrik Bourque for Monahan.

hey i'm only playing with few rumors! As for Mavrik Bourque i'm not sure Monahan would fetch that.

Maybe Monahan 50% retained. Bourque is not having a great AHL season. Seems to have had a bit of a setback.

-No reason for either team to do this honestly. Vancouver -should- wait til the summer to move Boeser, when more teams that could use him will have the cap space available to absorb his deal. Vancouver will get better than a pair of expiring deals and a mid-tier prospect at that point. And for Montreal - well, Dadonov has minimal value, sure, but Monahan is one of your better trade chips. Don't you all keep telling us he's worth a 1st rounder, at least? Why would you move him for a similarly paid & similarly aged winger instead of for a good package of futures?

-Anaheim is gonna need more to eat that contract for you. That team has a lot of problems right now, but I'd argue that one of the biggest is defensively - they've allowed 9 more goals than the next worst team in that category(LA) despite playing 2 less games to date than the Kings. I don't think Mike Hoffman really helps in that department at all, so if you're asking the Ducks to add $3M to this year's payroll and $4.5M to next year's for a player that doesn't really make them better, well...I think you're going to have to offer more than a move up from the early 6th round to the late 4th round (right now would be moving from #157 to about #125)

Anaheim will still be rebuilding next season and having Hoffman kicking tire for the tank will be great!

It was one incident and he has been liked in both dressing rooms he has played in since then. And even then it was his spouse, not him. Move on, the rest of the league has.

Canucks decline, I'd do Monahan for Boeser but Karlsson for Ylonen and Dadonov is a no go
